Living in the Digital Age: Media a Friend to Befriend (sessions conducted at Bosco Boys Home)
At Bosco Boys Home, we were fortunate to have Fr. Joaquim Fernandes SDB, former executive Director of Tej Prasarini, Don Bosco Communications, Mumbai. Being a Media and Management expert, he took a few sessions for our staff and students on the ‘Responsible and Educative use of Media’ in today’s time and age.
While speaking to a group of senior students he was quoted as saying, ” we have to sync ourselves to the good and educative part of media. Be creative and influence the world positively.” The students were also introduced to a few applications in video editing, animation, and online courses to equip and upgrade themselves with additional skills in the lockdown. Since many of our students have been spending a lot of time before their computer/mobile screens for the purpose of online classes, he also communicated some “Netiquette” to be maintained while attending these classes.
He then took a session for the staff entitled: “Living a balanced Life in a Holistic manner” He stressed on maintaining balance and harmony between 3 aspects of one’s life: Spiritual, physical and psychological.
The management, staff, and students of Bosco Boys Home are deeply indebted to Fr. Fernandes for his sessions which were informative and insightful.
