When we look back at our childhood and run down that memory lane, what are the incidents that make us smile and fill our hearts with joy? It is the time spent with our friends, the games we played, the silly fights we had while playing football matches during monsoon or the number of window panes we broke while dreaming of becoming the next Sachin Tendulkar. Childhood is not only about education but also about exploring our talents and creating memories.

Bhumi is one such NGO that recognizes this. Bhumi is one of India’s largest independent and youth volunteer non-profit organisations. Founded on August 15, 2006 by a small group of friends with a strong passion to change society and build a better India for tomorrow.  The organisation provides youngsters a platform to serve the society and bridges the gap between the educated and the uneducated by initiating a number of educational activities especially for the underprivileged children as to improve the self-confidence of children and to contribute to their holistic development through promotion of extra-curricular activities.

Bhumi in association with HP Sampark presented one such opportunity- Nakshatra Sports 2019. A plethora of 493 children from 17 different shelter homes and 50 children from ADAPT and PODS showcased their talents.
