We are in the age of the internet. Our children and youth have made their presence strongly felt as digital natives on this digital continent called the INTERNET. Besides opening up an ocean of information, knowledge, channels of communication, the recent years have seen a rise in crime and malpractices of different types that has put our children in harm’s way. @boscoboyshomeofficial, under the able guidance of Mrs. @anjanakv575 who is also a computer teacher, our boys were enlightened on various topics such as cyberbullying, theft of data identity, data mining, impinging of privacy, password protection, encryption, piracy, obscenity, etc. “Through the hour long session, we were merely able to scratch the surface”, agrees Mrs Anjana, “but this has set the ball rolling for further discussions and awareness programmes”. Towards the end of the awareness session, an MCQ test was conducted and various questions were posed by our children to the resource person.
