The Lockdown is taking its toll on mental and physical health. Reports suggest a rise in anxiety and depression. Public health actions such as social distancing can make one isolated and lonely. How do we channelize the creativity and energy of our boys here at the institute in such times?
There is an effort made to initiate a competitive spirit through, sports, games, team building activities, drama, music and much more. Being within the confines of the institute for almost four months now has been stress-inducing. In keeping the Salesian tradition of Weekend special activities for the boys, an in-house ‘camp fire’ was organized on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Bosco Boys Home. It was a time to unwind and forge bonds of friendship through fun, laughter and games. Creativity was at its apex with the children vying for top spots in the different competitions that were organized through the evening. “I’m enchanted by the treasure-trove of such talent in this institute, remarked Fr. Diego while judging few of the competitions. This event was indeed a ‘fun-filled stopgap’ amidst the gloom of the Pandemic.
Lockdown but not locked out of life!
