On 24th August, 2019 on occasion of Lord Krishna’s birthday (Janmashthami), the tune of ‘Govinda ala re’ echoed around all parts of Bosco Boys campus as over 129 govindas played ‘matkifod’ on the eve of Janmashtami at Bosco Boys Home from 11am to 1.00 pm.
The episode was filled of delight and gladness as boys sang various bollywod hits linked with Dahi handi festival. 4 Dahi Handis were broken by each namely: CWC Children, Hotel Management students, Technical students and Hostelites.
The idea of conducting this enlightening movement was to construct worth of ‘team spirit’ and ‘unity’ among the boys and to convey the message “Together we can achieve our goals.” As the child Krishna enjoyed the dance with his friends, our little children also danced joyfully to their heart’s content as they cheerily said, ‘Govinda Ala re Ala’!
