Oct 02, 2020: Celebrating Our Angels on Earth: Feast of the guardian angels.
“There are a select few who will touch your life in the most meaningful way. After meeting them, their souls will leave an imprint on your heart, and from then on you will never be the same. These are people we call angels on earth”.
In every Don Bosco institution, the assistant of the boys is considered to be the “Guardian Angel”; one who is with them through the day accompanying them in all their activities, studies, recreation, prayer and instilling values in them that will help shape them as persons.
Bosco Boys Home owes a debt of gratitude to its Guardian Angel, Cl. Nitesh Damor SDB, for the immense work he undertakes to accompany and assist the boys here. His charming and infectious smile is simply an antidote to a gloomy soul. He silently puts up with all the tantrums of our boys with serenity and patience. Gentle yet firm is a quality that best describes him in his current state of formation. We assure Cl. Nitesh of our prayers and good wishes and strength from the divine to carry out his duties diligently.
NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES…NOT ALL HAVE WINGS.
Some walk among us as our angels on earth. A felicitation program was held for the beloved Guardian Angel of the house, Cl. Nitesh Damor
The boys themselves organised and executed this ‘family circle’ event to express their love and gratitude for their assistant. On this occassion,
Br.Allan Netto was warmly welcomed into the community as he too will work in close collaboration with Fr. Sunil Pinto, the Prefect of Studies and Cl. Nitesh Damor to keep the schedule of activities and studies on at Bosco Boys Home.
“Cl. Nitesh is much loved by the boys. He shoulders a number of responsibilities at Bosco Boys Home, he stays silent but has a keen eye for observation. His is a tireless and a thankless job in this institute”, remarked Fr. Corlis Gonsalves, the Rector in his address to the community on this joyous occassion.
