A group of past pupils of BoscoBoys Home gathered at their alma mater on the invitation of Fr. Diego Nunes and Mr. Datta Gade with the aim to initiate a Past Pupil’s Unit which for Don Bosco is an integral unit of collaborators. The day began with a moment of prayer. Frs. Corlis and Diego welcomed the gathering and each in their own way tried to motivate and encourage the young assembly of past pupils.
Mr. Datta spearheaded a discussion with the youth as regards plans and preparations and norms to be laid out for the unit and he also spent time in procuring valuable data from them for purposes of records and documentation. Fr. Sunil Pinto stepped in to lighten the mood with a few action songs and ice breakers which left everyone in splits of laughter. The meeting ended with a scrumptious meal. As they departed from the institute, the past pupils made a monetary contribution to their alma mater as a token of their appreciation and gratitude and with spirits soaring high to return after the lockdown is lifted to officially kickstart activities of the unit.
