This afternoon was a memorable one for the boys @ Bosco Boys Home since the film “Yeh Ballet” (Release Date: Feb 21, 2020 ) was screened for them via Netflix. One of the lead characters of the film Nizamuddin Shah was present at our institute for the movie-screening. In his address to the boys, he encouraged them to appreciate the content and nature of the film while dwelling upon his own experiences as an actor. In the past he has been associated with our institute and conducts acting workshops for the kids. Around two years ago, our kids staged a play “Armaan Sab ka” under his able guidance and direction.
The director of the film, Sooni Taraporevala- an Indian screenwriter, photographer and filmmaker, sent her personalized wishes and a message based video to the boys which was much appreciated.
The film YEHBALLET is about two gifted Mumbai teens who are discovered by an eccentric ballet master; they face bigotry and disapproval as they pursue their dancing dreams. But it is a story of hope, grit and determination.
“We loved every bit of the movie”, remarked Ganesh, our student. “I was able to connect with some of the characters of the film”, said Sevak, another student.
Indeed it was an afternoon to cherish and remember! Thank you,
