July 06, 2020: Not the ROLE but the GOAL. Installation of Leaders at Bosco Boys Home
“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.”, said Fr. Diego Nunes in his motivational speech to the leaders at the investiture ceremony that was held at Bosco Boys Home, Borivali on July 06, 2020. At this institute, many opportunities are given to our children to hold positions of leadership within the premise. At the start of this academic year in July, six student leaders were appointed to shoulder various responsibilities and lead their teams. Since Pope Francis has launched a year- long celebration of ‘Laudato Si’, the management and staff have chalked out plans for various ecological activities through the year starting with the 4 Teams in the institute that have been christened after the four elements Earth (green), Water (Blue), Fire (Red), Wind (Yellow).
The Investiture ceremony commenced with a meaningful prayer led by Cl. Jittin Varghese. The leaders then made a solemn entry into the venue after which they were invested with the sash and flag by Fr.Corlis Gonsalves, the Rector of the institute & Fr. Nunes, the Administrator. Fr. Sunil Pinto, the prefect of Studies conducted the Oath ceremony while encouraging the newly invested office bearers to be change-makers and focus on the ‘Goal and never on their Role’

After the investiture and oath ceremony, the leaders along with their teams showcased their own unique team clap and yell for which they were awarded points. The event concluded with a photography session while the corridors of Bosco Boys Home resounded shouts of joy and hope.
