The Indian tradition of Guru Purnima is celebrated to revere/express gratitude to one’s GURU (Guide, Mentor, Educator) in life. Since this year the festival fell on Sunday, July 5, the importance of this festival/tradition was highlighted at the morning assembly today, July, 06, 2020.
Fr. Sunil Pinto organised a meaningful prayer service in which the students implored the blessings of the Almighty on their teachers and the staff of Bosco Boys Home(BBH). Fr. Corlis Gonsalves, the Rector of the house in his address to the staff and students highlighted the role and importance of a Guru in one’s life. He said, “The one who is able to awaken wisdom in you and lead you from Light to darkness is called ” GURU”.
Later the boys sought the blessings of their teachers before proceeding for their classes for the day at the institute.
