Borivali, Mumbai, 21st August 2018: The Yamaha Training School in collaboration with
Bosco Boys Home and Technical Institute jointly awarded the graduation certificate to the
students of the Yamaha and 2- Wheeler department of the institute on August 21. This Course
was specifically designed for the poor, needy and the school dropouts of the community. The
training is implemented by the institute with the help of the Yamaha team for a period of 6
months duration. The course has both theory taught by the well qualified staffs of the institute as
well practical session with the help of the kits provided by Yamaha service team.
To ensure that only the highest level of professional technicians work on Yamaha
vehicles, India Yamaha Motor has introduced Yamaha Technical Academy in India in the
year 2002. YTA is Yamaha Motor Corporation, Japans education system which is in force in all
countries where Yamaha is present. YTA is the cornerstone of Yamahas Technical Training
program. These courses combine comprehensive technical information from the Yamaha factory
with "real world" diagnostic and troubleshooting skills developed over many years of actual field
experience. They have a continuous training program for the mechanics starting from Beginner
then climbing through Bronze, Silver Engine, Silver Body and Silver Electrical. The YTA
joined hands with BBH in the year 2015.
In the graduation ceremony programme, Yamaha’s Regional Service Manager Mr. TarunThakur was the official face representing the Yamaha. He guided the students with the steps
involved in growing up in the technical field and how to map out a successful career for oneself.
He added “Technical Training is essential to acquire knowledge and enhancement of skills at
all levels and also to ensure that the quality standards don’t get diluted during after sales service.
Through this programme the students are trained to develop highly skilled technical workforce,
with greater career prospects.” The others officials present were Mr. Vinod Patwa the Manager
of the Yamaha Technical Academy, Mr. Chandrkant Mane the Deputy Manager and Mr. Mukesh
Randhir the Assistant Manager. Dn. Romero D’ Souza the Vice Principal of the institute who proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the students and motivated them with the advice
to do well and make both Yamaha and Don Bosco proud through their work.
The program was completed by the distribution of the certificates to the 20 students who
successfully completed the course. Empowered by passion for a better future the students went
away with expectations that define their valuable time, study and effort as well as enriched
experiences that will help them in their commitment toward their future. One of the students,
Samuel Figer quoted “By imparting focused training, YTA together with Bosco Boys Home and
Technical Institute creates "Professional technicians" who become trained technicians who
consistently provide "Best of Service" to valued "Yamaha customers".
