Digital literacy is a 21st century life skill which is required not only for accessing basic public utility services online but is also essential for career progression. We at Don Bosco Technical Training Institute are cognizant of its need for our students and believe that lack of IT Skills will create digital divide, widening the gap further between rich and poor. In July 2015 we partnered with Mahir Foundation, a Mumbai based non-profit organization, who conducted IT for Employability training for our students. The first batch was conducted for our Hotel Management students on July 6th to July 13th, attended by 13 students. The second batch was conducted for our Two/Four Wheeler Mechanic and Electrician Course students on 27th July to 1st August, attended by 17 students. Mahir Foundation provided us with an internet enabled mobile IT lab during the course duration to give hands on experience to our students.
