On 27th October 2018, the NGO Samajik Vikas Kendra from Malad (East) led by the head of the Institute Mr. Sachin Mahore visited Bosco Boys Home, Borivali as part of their educational and exposure visit from 11 am to 2pm. The other staffs present were Mr. Sachin Mahore, Mrs. Kavita Rana, Mrs. Archana Rathod, Mrs. Trupti Tayde, Mrs. Sarla Nair, Mrs. Aarti Gayor the Social Development outreach worker, and the Superintendent Mrs. Sangita Karande. This meeting was organized by Mr. Datta Gade the coordinator of the Social Work department of BBH.
Deacon Romero Dsouza, the Vice Principal and the Perfect of Studies of the BBH welcomed them and introduced the Management and Staff of BBH to the staff of Samajik Vikas Kendra. The purpose of this visit was to build NGO networking and to caters services related to the children and also to learn, exchange and study the works of each other and to help one another to be more fruitful in their work for the betterment of the young under their guidance.
The staff of Samajik Vikas Kendra were taken to all the departments of ‘Technical and Social sector’ of BBH and meticulously explained the working and the documentation of each department in Technical Sector: the RAC, Four-wheeler, Yamaha, Electrical, Hotel Management and the Back Office whereas in the Social Sector: the Admission and Discharge, Child Case file, Diet, Educational, Personal Belonging, etc. Each department’s Registers and the various files maintained by the individual Staff, details of each Register and how to maintain the format according to the CWC norms was explained to them.

Mrs. Kavita Rana, one of the staff from Samajik Vikas Kendra shared in the vote of thanks, “We are very happy and contented that we visited this beautiful place. We got the answer to our problems and came to know the importance of updating documentation and maintaining all Files and registers according to CWC rules and regulations. We are happy that the Bosco Boys Home team are doing so many good works to uplift the youth and empower them by giving them training, studies and at the same time looking at their career placement. Here children are given all the best facilities related to bathroom, dormitory, school studies, even encouraging them in sports and other cultural activities. The institute has a beautiful space and infrastructure which are necessary for the personal growth of every child. We are very pleased to see the dedication and commitment from the team of BBH, it inspires, motivates and challenges us to do much better. We assure that this fruitful visit and wonderful experiences which we gained today will be implemented in our NGO.”
At the end of the programme Deacon Dsouza, thanked them for visiting BBH and spending their valuable time. He concluded by saying “This place is open for all deserving student who have the passion for work, commitment to career and open to learning especially those who are willing and wanting to progress in life and become someone great.”
The staff from Samajik Kendra team were served cool refreshing coconut water to remember their sweet visit. The programme was concluded with a photograph.
