SEE WHAT WE DO ABOUT BOSCO BOYS HOME
Bosco Boys Home (BBH) was founded by Salesians of Don Bosco as a non formal technical school in 1976 to cater to the need of providing opportunities to school dropouts from the economically disadvantaged group of our society and to the orphan boys who had no other opportunities to get trained in any vocational skill. In the initial stage having no place of its own, BBH started its first milestone from the Don Bosco School Boarding Hall with a simple trade of book binding. Later on, this work was shifted entirely to its present location. As years went by, new trades were added and some of them discontinued according to the market demand and job opportunities. The minimum qualification for getting admission is 8th standard pass only for youth coming from the economically disadvantaged section of our society. From June 2016, BBH has expanded its services to children who lived on the streets by in housing boys living with Shelter Don Bosco Wadala (A residential home for Street Children) to provide better living facilities and to mainstream them to the normal society. Bosco Boys Home now caters to children who lived on the streets, economically marginalized youth and orphans who need care and protection.
